THE TRADITIONAL UPHOLSTERY STUDIO
Learn upholstery @theFarm
Learn to upholster your own furniture at informal, friendly and industrious workshops held in the old coach house of medieval Great Chalfield Manor, in west Wiltshire. Set up with her friend and neighbour Emma Allen, @theFarm offers morning sessions or Saturday upholstery classes. You will learn the 'hands on' way, restoring your own piece of furniture under Joanna's watchful eye, learning as you go. Hand tools and materials are available for use. Morning workshops are booked as a set of six weeks, while Saturdays are usually booked in pairs.

Residential retreats at NFWI Denman
Joanna also teaches upholstery at Denman College, the Women's Institute's flagship headquarters in Marcham, Oxfordshire and home of the WI's Craft School. Workshops are usually three or five days long and allow students to completely immerse themselves in their craft, learn new skills and finish ambitious projects, while staying at Denman's beautiful Georgian manor house. Contact Denman for dates of forthcoming upholstery classes.
